What is ENERCA?

ENERCA is an acronym for European Network for Rare and Congenital Anaemias. It started back in 2002, funded by the European Commission, with the purpose of offering an improved public health service to professional medical practitioners and patients in every aspect of rare anaemias.

The strategic relevance of ENERCA is the participation of health professionals, patients, health authorities and other stakeholders of all Member states in the design, validation and implementation of new e-Health services addressed to improve the tackle of rare anaemias.

Vision

ENERCA is an independent member of the EuroBloodNet Advisory Board (EAB) and its main objectives are to promote excellence for best health care of patients with rare anaemias by improving the following main topics.

Mission

To help the diagnosis of rare anemias, especially the ultra rare. To contribute to postgraduate training in RAs. To contribute to the development of Pan-European Quality Assessment Scheme for rare procedures used for the diagnosis of rare anaemias. To participate in the Organization of Research and Development Projects.

ENERCA is a member of the independent EuroBloodNet Advisory Board and its Governance is based on the contacts with EuroBloodNet Subnetwork Coordinators, and with different Organisations involved in patients advocacy and RA patients health servicesUp to now.
